UrlBot is getting loaded with f00d now. The version in the room is the
beta version. The one i am currently working on and feeding will support
modules and will be able to search freshmeat, rpmfind, ftp search, and
prolly dogpile or hotbot for an option like: "Urlbot, find freshmeat
<what>". But this is not implemented yet, and this version will not be
done for a while. I saw that it was a bad idea, doh!, to release UrlBot
with no urls (It now just takes url submissions and logs all "/url *
..". "Urlbot" will eventually be the Librarian, like snow crash. So a
fffully finished Urlbot will only be the first step for the Librarian. It
will be able to analize questions, like the AI bots out there,
like: "Urlbot, question: Why doesn't lilo see my Windows partition, when i
just installed linux and i know Windows is there? Help!"....this would
return info on how to include a windows partition in the /etc/lilo.conf,
even with an example prolly. Anyways these are just ideas that are
consuming my mind, and hopefully will bring the vision of a real
"MetaVerse" a reality. Only thing is, is that later on after OV gets to
1.0, we should hook up with other groups out there with the same vision
and try and work together and introduce new ideas and double the speed and
quality of the work. There are plenty out there, tho most are going the
java/vrml way of things... We may have to make a C platform (thanks for
the socket C work man, that's going to kick so much ass) that is faster
and can handle graphic of a Virtual World better, an would support
abilities to make better "bots", heehee. "/sing Ain't got no love for dim
bots...". Anyways, mmmm...i just noticed my lack of tabs and
paragraphs. Could i get a count of actually how many people have read
Snow Crash (and no it is not when you go to sleep after a week of 'snow')?    
Well, i think that's about it for now, I need to get back to feeding the
bot (bots like to get fat, just as long as they don't get slow)....mmm
sprinkles.....
