[OpenVerse] Any progress on the whiteboard?

Cruise, have you thought much about a shared whiteboard?

It would be pretty cool to have rooms where privileged users can doodle
on the background image.  I think it would be implemented with messages
that indicate things such as line drawing, pixel plotting,
circles/ellipses, rectangles, text, and maybe some other drawing
elements.

Why privileged?  I'd hate to draw some important diagram just in time
for some hooligan to come and paint a huge white rectangle over it.

Which brings up another question... what if I draw for a while and then
someone new enters the room?  Maybe he can be sent a background image
that already contains all the new drawings on it.

I know this brings up plenty more questions and obstacles, and it would
probably require several mini rewrites, so I don't expect you to drop
everything and put in a weeklong orgy of coding to satisfy me, but
please think about it.
