hmm...just had a couple ideas, though one would probably add quite a bit
of complexity to things.  :)

instead of implementing /sing /love etc as commands, implement them like
interpreted variables ala IRC that can be inserted into text.  IRC
equivalent, you could do stuff like..

/eval say $quote(i $love() $notes())

And you could just make the commands like /sing to be aliases /eval say
$sing()

Of course to write it like IRC you might as well write your own script
language while yer at it.  :)

my other idea is something like /bind ^a beginning_of_line, ala irc...
it'd be easier than editing the tcl :)
