[OpenVerse] Icons and more
I finished my icons! It's a 12Kb zip file. Who wants it? Should I just
post it to the list? The wishlist icon is pretty ugly, so if anyone has any
better ideas, I'd be happy to try again.
What are the red and green circles for? I redid them, of course, but I
don't know what they're for. And what about the MP3Tool logo? I redid
that, too, and put a cool lightning effect in it, but I don't see where it
ever shows up. Cruise, put it in the Help window. If OHlp ever supports
images, stuff it in there and write out more detailed help so tat I don't
have to guess what CTCP means.
I like the thumbs-down icon. After looking at the original one, I
concluded that it's impossible to do a thumbs-down with the fingers curled
toward the owner of the hand without some unnatural twisting of either the
neck or the wrist. Thus I changed it to show the back of the hand. I
think it looks better this way. The problem with my art is that I try to
get every pixel perfect and I often pick out a special color for each one
but since things blend so much no one can really tell without zooming in.
Oh well... it's detailed. Hehehe. I suppose I'd better stick to writing
games for 320x200 or 256x256 resolution and people with 19" monitors.
I found a bug in the setup screen. Everytime the setup is loaded,
backslashes in the personal information are stripped. Double backslashes
turn to single backslashes (and will be stripped later if setup is saved and
reloaded). That's a bug, and it makes ASCII art quite difficult. Also,
there should be a scrollbar on the personal information to make scrolling
easier (it's an annoyance, not a bug).
I put together a disk image, but I don't want to make disks out of it until
it's approved. It's MSDOS-formatted, and it's also gzipped. If anyone
wants it (Cruise? Joshua?), I'll send it. gunzip and mount it. It's
1000Kb large gzipped. Oh, I have 25 floppies to donate.
And lastly, Cruise, please remember to change my subscription to
unununium@openverse.org. I cancelled my account with Vetec, and I don't
want to miss anything.
