Gtk+ is available for Win32. It comes with the Win32 port of The
GIMP. Though I am not sure as to the ease/difference of it, besides maybe
directory structure.

I hate QT. looks exactly like Windows.

but.. on the one hand.. Why would anyone wanna bother making a
QT/Gtk+/Motif/blah version of OpenVerse?

The TCL/Tk client is good, and not slow in any means.. so why go to all
the trouble of making another client, and forking development?

In things like ICQ this is justified by the fact that Windows ICQ sucks
and that the protocol isn't open, but not only is OpenVerse open, but it
also runs on many platforms.

I'm not trying to deter anyone from doing this, I wouldn't mind seeing a
Gtk+ version, but, from the-person-who-has-to-code-it's point of view, I'm
interested in hearing thoughts of why you are doing this. or what you want
to achieve. (i mean I want to hear that person's point of view, not that
*I* am the one coding it. heh)
