Well, Tcl/Tk suite is an interpreted language, and therefore slow as hell
compared to C or Assembly.  The OpenVerse 3D would have to be written in a
fast language that is compiled into machine code.

I've seen a 3D doom thing made in the mIRC scripting language (which is
interpreted)... and on my former P233MMX it was less than 1 frame per
second, and the resolution was 320x200. :)
