Surfacing?

Is it known, what is happening?
The word is ... "nebulous."
These days I have been pretending,
Doing things, just to be doing things,
But never doing the things I feel I need
To be doing.  Just an act... an act
Scripted by others, run through the
Filters and censors who have made it
Sanitized of emotion, safe for human
Consumption.  Designed to hurt no one,
It succeeds, and horribly so.  For in
The editor's estimation, I am no none,
And I must be punished with days without
Life.  My honesty in emotion was
Unacceptable, and my ongoing crime
Must be stopped.  But don't you know
It can't stop?  Truth is like a bubble
Underwater--It soars to the surface and
Escapes, blanketing the earth.  Stopping
It is futile, for it will always find a
Way to slip through your fingers and find
The surface.
