Possibly server specific in the future as will be translation to hostname.

Bah!

Fluff but a good idea.

Pings are not needed. The only useful thing pings are for is flooding other
users. The protocol includes a PING/PONG command/response which will log users
off who are not responding to the server. The Client can determine it's lag to
the server depending on how long it takes for outgoing chat messages to come
back. Possibly I could build in some code which monitors the response time to
the server and report it to the user. Any use of pings which is from user ->
user is (IMHO) something to be abused.

Yeah yeah yeah, they're hard. just chill.

Why 12 aint long enough? I think it is. Much more and people's name tags take
up too much screen realestate. Have you ever shut names off? It's so much
prettier. Try it sometime.

Not gonna happen. the space is the delimeter in the protocol. You cannot have a
space in your nick.

Good idea.

Could be done easily with a custom panel. the infrastructure is in place for
this already. All someone has to do is design a panel to do this. Not a high
priority for me so it prolly won't get done unless someone else does it.

Good idea.
