Re: [OpenVerse] Any progress on the whiteboard? - Privilaged Users



I would just like to say that if a white board is implemented, there
would be no real need for moderation. The reason why is that if the
place is important enough you could make your own personal server (and
with that new personal server code this is going to be easy). A public
whiteboard would be where people could go crazy and do whatever, through
social aspects a user that dominates the room would be outcast and
perhaps people would just leave the whiteboard room after getting board
with it being controlled by such people. Maybe after whiteboard and
other object type things are implimented a dialog could come up when a
user starts a personal server which asks them which type of room they
want, normal server, whiteboard (perhaps even things like a chess game)
and then dialogs for options like background image and ports could come 
up (perhaps even checking to see if the port is already in use). so blah
blah blah, its late and my mind is probably working on its own. see ya
in the verse
