[OpenVerse] winNT install trouble...
I've been trying to install OpenVerse on an NT4 system with little
satisfaction. I don't know what the problem is. After installing OV and
TKL the installer hangs.
After killing it if I launch OpenVerse things are noght right. There is
no name tag under the avatar and an attempt to move it draws an error with
this stack trace:
can't read "MV(Guest.name_tl_x)": no such element in array
while executing
"if {$x >= $MV($MV(nick).name_tl_x) &&
$x <= $MV($MV(nick).name_br_x) &&
$y >= $MV($MV(nick).name_tl_y) &&
$y <= $MV($MV(n..."
(procedure "Query_CheckClick" line 18)
invoked from within
"$MV(plugin.traps.MoveTo.Pre.$plugin) $x $y"
(procedure "MoveTo" line 10)
invoked from within
"MoveTo 361 288 0"
(command bound to event)
An attempt to connect causes a nasty crash. Must use the task manager to
kill OpenVerse.
If I were a newbee trying the program for the first time I would have
cussed you, un-installed and told all my friends to stay away from
OpenVerse because its crap.
Y'all know I'm a big fan of OV and I'm reporting this because I hope we
can prevent someone else from having a sour experience.
Thanks
